Sasha Roseneil is Professor of Sociology and Social Theory at the School of Psychosocial Studies, Birkbeck College, University of London. Her research is focused on social theory – particularly feminist, queer and psychoanalytic theory; the analysis of changing relations of gender, sexuality, intimacy and sociability; and the study of collective action, social movements, cultural politics and public cultures.
She is currently co-directing a major EU-funded project on ‘Citizenship in Multi-Cultural Europe: the impact of contemporary women’s movements’. Her many publications include two monographs on the Greenham Women’s Peace Camp, including Disarming Patriarchy. Feminism and Political Action at Greenham (1995).
